Epinephrine and norepinephrine have similar actions. The other three pairs have antagonistic (opposite) effects. Activin stimulates FSH secretion while inhibin inhibits FSH secretion. Calcitonin is hypocalcemic hormone whereas PTH is a hypercalcemic hormone. Insulin is a hypoglycemic hormone while glucagon is hyperglycemic hormone.
