Which of the following glands is located in the neck?
The thyroid gland is located in the neck region, just inferior to the larynx. It has right and left lateral lobes, one on either side of the trachea. This is quite evident in goitre patients. The pituitary and pineal are located in the head (associated with the brain). The thymus is located in the thorax, behind the sternum between the lungs on the ventral side of the aorta.
