Which of the following hormone acts upon the renal tubule and blood capillaries?
ADH (or vasopressin) is released from posterior pituitary gland. It acts on kidney tubule and blood capillaries and concentrates the urine by promoting the reabsorption of water and salts into the blood from DCT and collecting ducts. It also effects the constriction of arterioles which increases blood pressure. Hence, this hormone is also called vasopressin.
