Human Endocrine System
Question

Which of the following is not related to the adrenal gland?

Easy
Solution

Gonadotropins (FSH and LH) are secreted by anterior pituitary gland (not adrenal cortex).

Small amounts of androgenic steroids are secreted by the adrenal cortex which play a role in the growth of axial hair, pubic hair and facial hair during puberty.

One pair of adrenal glands are present in human body, one at the anterior part of each kidney.

The adrenal cortex can be divided into three layers, called zona reticularis (inner layer), zona fasciculata (middle layer) and zona glomerulosa (outer layer).

The adrenal medulla secretes catecholamines (adrenaline or epinephrine and noradrenaline or norepinephrine).
