Why is haemophilia mostly observed in men?

In the case of X-linked recessive disorders, males are affected more often than females because the gene is located on the X chromosome. Males have only one X chromosome unlike females. A single recessive gene on that X chromosome will cause the disease, while females inheriting a single defective X chromosome remain carriers.
