Van Mahotsav is the Forest Festival also referred to as Teen Murti Malhar or Van Mahotasav. It was initiated to create awareness on the need of trees and forests in our lives and subsequently promote afforestation. It gives the people an occasion in which they could come together, plant trees, and propagate a healthy and greener environment
Van Mahotsav is also celebrated the during the first week of July in India. It is a seven day event aimed at planting of trees and environmental sensitization.
