Chapter 3: Chandwali Amma
This literary work narrates the account of the old woman who climbed to the moon as told in children’s fairy tales. It describes the ominous sky and how Amma was once tricked by it.
Chapter 4: Mann Karta Hai
Surendra Vikram expresses wishes for all the things he could be in this poetry. The poet’s wishes are to be the sun, moon, father, father-grandfather, bird, butterfly, and, most of all, a young boy flying a brightly coloured kite.
Chapter 5: Bahadur Bitto
Punjabi folktale Bahadur Bitto tells the story of a peasant’s wife. It demonstrates how her courage came to the rescue.
Chapter 6: Humse Sab Kehte
The poem elaborates on a child’s grievances over the ways in which natural phenomena function and the various self-imposed restrictions that adults have imposed. Why are individuals unable to do so many things, whereas air, sunlight, and moonlight are unstoppable? The child thinks he is being punished or that he cannot play or give toys to anyone.
Chapter 7: Tiptipwa
This little story is adapted from an old folktale from Uttar Pradesh. It covered a number of things that happened in a hamlet on a cloudy day. A young reader may remain interested in the story since it is entertaining to read.
Chapter 8: Bandar Bant
The plot had two cats squabbling over who was going to have the roti first. A monkey eventually got the roti while they continued to argue.
