If one person or thing is doing the action, the verb ends with -s or -es.
Plural subject → Plural verb
When more than one person or thing is doing something, the verb does not end with -s.

Even though I is singular, it takes a plural verb sometimes.
Words like “each”, “everyone”, and “everybody” are singular
