The new CBSE Class 7 Hindi syllabus for the 2025-26 academic year is now out, covering all chapters. Students are advised to review the revised syllabus carefully and plan their studies accordingly for better exam preparation.
For the academic year 2025-26, the CBSE Class 7 Hindi syllabus is designed to strengthen students’ understanding of the Hindi language and help them avoid common grammatical mistakes, which many students struggle with.

The Class 7 Hindi syllabus includes four main sections that help students know what topics to study, how to approach each section, and build a strong understanding of the Hindi language
Main Sections in CBSE Class 7 Hindi Syllabus
1. Prose (Gadya Khand)
This section includes different chapters and stories from the NCERT textbooks (Vasant Part 2 and Durva Part 2). The prose section helps students build reading comprehension skills and understand moral lessons, storylines, and character analysis.
2. Poetry (Padya Khand)

3. Grammar (Vyakaran)
Hindi grammar plays a key role in the syllabus. Important topics include Sandhi, Samas, Tenses (Kaal), Active-Passive Voice (Kriya ki Roopantaran), Synonyms and Antonyms (Paryayvachi, Vilom Shabd), Sentence formation, and Correction of sentences. Learning grammar helps students avoid common language errors and write accurately.
4. Writing and Skill Development (लेखन एवं कौशल विकास)
This part covers essay writing (Nibandh Lekhan), letter writing (Patra Lekhan), story writing, and paragraph writing. It helps students express their thoughts clearly in Hindi and improves their overall writing fluency.
The CBSE Class 7 Hindi syllabus for 2025-26 is based on three NCERT textbooks: Vasant Bhag 2, Durva Part 2, and the Mahabharata Supplementary Reader. Together, these books provide a well-rounded learning experience, helping students improve their reading, writing, grammar, and literature skills in Hindi.
Durva Part 2 is a lighter, engaging book that introduces students to short stories, informative articles, and simple poems. The chapters here are designed to make learning Hindi fun and interactive.

The Vasant Part 2 textbook focuses mainly on prose (गद्य खंड) and poetry (पद्य खंड). Students will read a variety of interesting stories, essays, and poems that teach them important values, life lessons, and language skills.

The Mahabharata Supplementary Reader presents selected short chapters from the great Indian epic Mahabharata in easy Hindi. These stories teach students about dharma (duty), values, and decision-making in difficult situations.
