SCORE Syllabus 2026: Class 4–12 Subject-Wise Topics

By Rohit RP

|

Updated on 27 Aug 2026, 15:18 IST

The SCORE Syllabus 2026 changes according to the student's class and, for Classes 11 and 12, the selected JEE or NEET pathway. Class 4 students prepare Mathematics, Science and English, while students in higher classes move into Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and reasoning-based topics. For senior students, the syllabus becomes pathway-specific: JEE covers Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, while NEET covers Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

Students should therefore prepare from the syllabus listed for their current class and selected pathway, rather than treating SCORE as one common syllabus for Classes 4–12.

Is the SCORE Syllabus Different for Every Class?

The SCORE syllabus is class-specific. A Class 5 student does not prepare the same topics as a Class 9 student, and a Class 11 JEE aspirant follows a different subject combination from a Class 11 NEET aspirant.

The progression can broadly be understood in three stages.

SCORE Class 4 Syllabus 2026

The SCORE Class 4 syllabus tests three different areas of learning: numerical ability through Mathematics, conceptual understanding through Science, and language skills through English.

That makes Class 4 different from the higher SCORE levels, where English is no longer shown as a dedicated subject in the current syllabus structure.

SCORE Class 4 Mathematics Syllabus

Students should prepare concepts related to:

  • large numbers, including numbers up to seven digits,
  • addition, subtraction, multiplication and division,
  • fractions,
  • basic geometry,
  • measurement,
  • time and money,
  • data handling, and
  • logical reasoning.

The aim is not only to perform calculations but also to apply basic mathematical ideas to patterns, measurements and everyday situations.

SCORE Class 4 Science Syllabus

Science preparation includes themes related to:

  • objects and things around us,
  • plants,
  • animals and birds,
  • matter,
  • force, work and energy,
  • the human body and organ systems,
  • food and nutrition,
  • solutions and solubility, and
  • the environment.

Students should understand basic concepts and relationships rather than relying only on memorised definitions.

SCORE Class 4 English Syllabus

English covers a broad mix of grammar and vocabulary skills, including:

  • nouns,
  • subject and predicate,
  • pronouns,
  • kinds of sentences,
  • adjectives,
  • adverbs,
  • punctuation,
  • prepositions,
  • prefixes and suffixes,
  • conjunctions,
  • articles,
  • homophones,
  • tenses,
  • synonyms and antonyms,
  • compound words, and
  • spellings.

What Should Class 4 Students Focus On?

A common mistake would be to concentrate only on Mathematics and Science. Because English is a full SCORE subject for Class 4, grammar and vocabulary revision should also be part of the preparation plan.

SCORE Class 5 Syllabus 2026

The SCORE Class 5 syllabus introduces an important shift: students continue with Mathematics and Science, but IQ/Critical Reasoning becomes a dedicated preparation area.

That means students need to work on both academic concepts and problem-solving skills.

SCORE Class 5 Mathematics Syllabus

Key Mathematics areas include:

  • equal grouping,
  • symmetry,
  • clocks and calendars,
  • data handling,
  • fractions,
  • angles,
  • distance,
  • shapes and patterns,
  • weight, and
  • capacity.

Students should practise interpreting information as well as carrying out calculations.

SCORE Class 5 Science Syllabus

Class 5 Science covers themes connected with everyday life and the student's surroundings, including:

  • how things work and are made,
  • different lands and lifestyles,
  • the sky,
  • water,
  • rivers,
  • food,
  • the school environment,
  • India, and
  • unique places.

This makes conceptual observation and application important parts of preparation.

SCORE Class 5 IQ and Critical Reasoning Syllabus

The reasoning component covers areas such as:

  • number reasoning,
  • alphabet reasoning,
  • coding and decoding,
  • direction sense,
  • blood relations,
  • non-verbal reasoning,
  • syllogisms,
  • Venn diagrams,
  • ranking,
  • cubes and dice,
  • analytical puzzles,
  • arithmetic puzzles, and
  • data interpretation.

What Changes in SCORE From Class 4 to Class 5?

The most noticeable change is the addition of a dedicated reasoning component.

Students should therefore avoid preparing SCORE as if it were only another school-subject examination. Developing pattern recognition, logical thinking and puzzle-solving ability becomes increasingly important from this stage onward.

SCORE Class 6 Syllabus 2026

For Class 6, the SCORE syllabus becomes more subject-specific. Science concepts can now be organised into Physics, Chemistry and Biology, while Mathematics and reasoning continue to form major parts of preparation.

SCORE Class 6 Mathematics Syllabus

Mathematics topics include:

  • symmetry,
  • time,
  • maps and locations,
  • pictorial data,
  • mathematical patterns,
  • lines and angles,
  • number play,
  • data handling,
  • prime numbers,
  • perimeter,
  • area, and
  • fractions.

Students should be comfortable moving between numerical, geometrical and data-based problems.

SCORE Class 6 Physics Syllabus

Physics introduces concepts such as:

  • energy,
  • magnets,
  • measurement of length,
  • motion, and
  • temperature.

These topics form an early base for concepts students encounter in greater depth in later classes.

SCORE Class 6 Chemistry Syllabus

Chemistry-related areas include:

  • materials,
  • clothes and manufacturing,
  • states of water, and
  • separation methods used in everyday life.

Students should focus on how substances and materials behave rather than only memorising terminology.

SCORE Class 6 Biology Syllabus

Biology covers themes such as:

  • nature,
  • Earth,
  • diversity among living organisms,
  • scientific exploration, and
  • mindful eating.

SCORE Class 6 IQ and Critical Reasoning Syllabus

Reasoning preparation includes:

  • coding-decoding,
  • direction sense,
  • blood relations,
  • non-verbal reasoning,
  • syllogisms,
  • Venn diagrams,
  • ranking,
  • cubes and dice,
  • puzzles, and
  • data interpretation.

What Is Different About the Class 6 SCORE Syllabus?

Class 6 is an important transition point. Science is no longer best approached as one broad subject; students should begin organising revision into Physics, Chemistry and Biology concepts, while maintaining regular reasoning practice.

SCORE Class 7 Syllabus 2026

By Class 7, the syllabus moves further into algebra, geometry and conceptual science. Students should be prepared to apply concepts rather than only recognise them.

SCORE Class 7 Mathematics Syllabus

Important areas include:

  • large numbers,
  • arithmetic expressions,
  • fractions and decimals,
  • algebraic expressions,
  • lines and angles,
  • triangles,
  • congruence,
  • integers,
  • data handling,
  • perimeter, and
  • area.

Algebra and geometry become more visible at this stage, so students should practise both symbolic and diagram-based questions.

SCORE Class 7 Physics Syllabus

Physics includes:

  • electric circuits,
  • heat transfer,
  • motion and time,
  • light and shadows,
  • magnets,
  • Earth and space, and
  • temperature.

SCORE Class 7 Chemistry Syllabus

Students should prepare:

  • acids and bases,
  • metals and non-metals,
  • materials, and
  • methods of separation.

SCORE Class 7 Biology Syllabus

Biology focuses on:

  • life processes in plants,
  • life processes in animals, and
  • diversity in the living world.

SCORE Class 7 IQ and Critical Reasoning Syllabus

Reasoning includes:

  • number reasoning,
  • alphabet reasoning,
  • coding-decoding,
  • direction sense,
  • blood relations,
  • syllogisms,
  • Venn diagrams,
  • ranking,
  • analytical puzzles,
  • cubes and dice, and
  • data interpretation.

Class 7 Preparation Focus

At this level, students should start moving away from purely chapter-based memorisation. Algebraic manipulation, geometrical reasoning and science concepts such as circuits, motion and acids/bases are easier to handle when the underlying idea is understood clearly.

SCORE Class 8 Syllabus 2026

The SCORE Class 8 syllabus represents a significant step up in analytical depth. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology become more clearly separated, while the IQ section expands considerably into both logical and quantitative reasoning.

SCORE Class 8 Mathematics Syllabus

The Mathematics syllabus covers themes related to:

  • squares and cubes,
  • powers,

Biology includes:

  • scientific investigation,
  • microorganisms,
  • health,
  • life processes in plants, and
  • life processes in animals.

SCORE Class 8 IQ Syllabus

The reasoning section is considerably broader at this stage. Students may encounter areas such as:

  • number systems,
  • alphabet reasoning and coding-decoding,
  • percentages,
  • simple and compound interest,
  • profit, loss and discount,
  • direction sense,
  • blood relations,
  • non-verbal reasoning,
  • syllogisms and Venn diagrams,
  • ranking and sequence-based reasoning,
  • speed, distance and time,
  • clocks and calendars,
  • cubes and dice,
  • ratio and proportion,
  • averages,
  • mixtures,
  • analytical and seating puzzles,
  • arithmetic puzzles,
  • data sufficiency,
  • data interpretation,
  • time and work, and
  • statement-based logical reasoning.

Why Is Class 8 SCORE Preparation Different?

Class 8 introduces a much wider quantitative-reasoning component. Students who are strong in school Mathematics and Science should therefore still dedicate separate preparation time to IQ, logical reasoning and applied arithmetic.

SCORE Class 9 Syllabus 2026

The SCORE Class 9 syllabus begins connecting secondary-school learning with concepts that become increasingly important in higher-level Mathematics and Science.

Rather than studying every school chapter indiscriminately, students should use the SCORE topic list as a focused revision map.

  • atomic structure, and
  • particulate nature of matter.

SCORE Class 9 Biology Syllabus

Biology includes:

  • cells,
  • tissues,
  • reproduction, and
  • microorganisms.

SCORE Class 9 IQ Syllabus

The IQ section continues to combine logical and numerical reasoning through:

  • coding-decoding,
  • percentages and commercial arithmetic,
  • direction and blood-relation problems,
  • syllogisms and Venn diagrams,
  • ranking,
  • speed-distance-time,
  • clocks and calendars,
  • ratio and averages,
  • cubes and dice,
  • puzzles,
  • data sufficiency,
  • data interpretation,
  • time and work, and
  • statement-based reasoning.

What Should Class 9 Students Prioritise?

Topics such as motion, atomic structure, cells, algebra and coordinate-based Mathematics form important conceptual foundations for higher secondary study.

Students should make sure these areas are understood conceptually rather than treating SCORE preparation as a short-term memorisation exercise.

SCORE Class 10 Syllabus 2026

The SCORE Class 10 syllabus 2026 covers major secondary-school Mathematics and Science concepts while also retaining a reasoning component.

Importantly, the published topic list contains some supporting concepts from earlier classes. Students should therefore follow the SCORE syllabus directly instead of assuming that only newly introduced Class 10 chapters need revision.

SCORE Class 10 IQ Syllabus

The IQ component continues to test areas such as:

  • number and alphabet reasoning,
  • coding-decoding,
  • percentages,
  • profit, loss and interest,
  • direction sense,
  • blood relations,
  • non-verbal reasoning,
  • syllogisms,
  • ranking,
  • speed-distance-time,
  • ratio and averages,
  • clocks and calendars,
  • cubes and dice,
  • analytical puzzles,
  • data interpretation, and
  • statement-based reasoning.

Does the Class 10 SCORE Syllabus Include Previous-Class Topics?

Yes, some topics listed for the current Class 10 SCORE assessment draw on concepts introduced in earlier grades.

For example, the published syllabus explicitly references earlier work in areas such as polynomials and atomic structure. Students should therefore revise the exact topics listed for SCORE rather than limiting preparation to the current Class 10 textbook sequence.

This is particularly useful for concepts that build cumulatively from Class 9 into Class 10.

SCORE Class 11 JEE Syllabus 2026

The SCORE Class 11 JEE syllabus focuses on three subjects:

  • Mathematics,
  • Physics, and
  • Chemistry.

The topic selection concentrates on important early Class 11 concepts rather than attempting to cover the entire JEE syllabus at once.

SCORE Class 11 JEE Mathematics Syllabus

Students should prepare:

  • Sets,
  • Relations and Functions,
  • Trigonometric Functions,
  • Sequences and Series,
  • Straight Lines,
  • Limits, and
  • Derivatives.

These topics form an important base for later algebra, coordinate geometry and calculus.

SCORE Class 11 JEE Physics Syllabus

Physics includes:

  • Physical World,
  • Units and Measurements,
  • Motion in a Straight Line,
  • Motion in a Plane,
  • Laws of Motion,
  • Work, Energy and Power, and
  • System of Particles and Rotational Motion.

A strong grasp of mechanics is particularly important because several of these chapters are interconnected.

SCORE Class 11 JEE Chemistry Syllabus

Chemistry includes:

  • Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry,
  • Structure of Atom,
  • Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties,
  • Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, and
  • Thermodynamics.

Is the SCORE Class 11 JEE Syllabus the Complete JEE Syllabus?

No. The current SCORE Class 11 JEE topic list is focused on a defined set of Class 11 concepts.

Students should prepare the chapters specifically listed for SCORE rather than assuming that every topic from the full JEE Main or JEE Advanced syllabus will be part of this assessment.

Which Subjects Are Included in SCORE Online 2026?

The exact SCORE subjects depend on the student's class.

Mathematics

Mathematics appears across the school-level SCORE assessments and remains a core subject in the senior JEE pathway.

The content progresses from number operations, fractions and basic geometry in younger classes to algebra, trigonometry, coordinate geometry and calculus in higher classes.

Science

Science appears as a broader subject for younger students.

As students move into middle and secondary school, the syllabus becomes more clearly separated into Physics, Chemistry and Biology concepts.

Physics

Physics becomes a distinct preparation area from the middle-school stages and continues into both senior JEE and NEET assessments.

Topics progress from motion, magnets, energy and temperature to mechanics, electricity, electrostatics and magnetism.

Chemistry

Chemistry progresses from materials, separation and everyday substances to atomic structure, chemical bonding, reactions, electrochemistry and coordination chemistry.

Biology

Biology appears in the middle and secondary SCORE syllabus through areas such as living organisms, cells, tissues, life processes, health and reproduction.

For senior NEET aspirants, Biology is divided into Botany and Zoology.

IQ and Critical Reasoning

IQ or critical reasoning is particularly relevant across the foundation-stage SCORE syllabus.

Depending on the class, it can cover:

  • logical reasoning,
  • coding-decoding,
  • data interpretation,
  • quantitative reasoning,
  • puzzles,
  • ranking,
  • Venn diagrams,
  • direction sense, and
  • statement-based reasoning.

English

English is a dedicated subject in the current Class 4 SCORE syllabus, covering grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure and language usage.

JEE Subjects

Classes 11 and 12 following the JEE pathway prepare:

Mathematics + Physics + Chemistry

NEET Subjects

Classes 11 and 12 following the NEET pathway prepare:

Physics + Chemistry + Botany + Zoology

Does the SCORE Syllabus Include Previous-Class Concepts?

Yes, some class-specific SCORE topic lists include concepts introduced in earlier grades.

This is particularly visible in the current Class 10 syllabus, where some Mathematics and Science topics draw directly on concepts studied in Class 9.

This matters because academic subjects are cumulative. A student may be studying Class 10 trigonometry while still needing earlier algebraic skills, or working on Class 10 chemistry while relying on previous understanding of atomic structure.

The safest preparation approach is therefore:

Follow the exact SCORE topic list for your class rather than assuming the assessment includes only chapters newly introduced in that grade.

How Does the SCORE Syllabus Progress From Class 4 to Class 12?

The class-wise structure reveals a clear progression.

StageMain Preparation Focus
Class 4Mathematics, Science and language skills
Class 5Academics + introduction of dedicated reasoning
Classes 6–7Mathematics + separate science concepts + reasoning
Classes 8–10Stronger subject specialisation + quantitative/logical reasoning
Classes 11–12 JEEMathematics, Physics and Chemistry
Classes 11–12 NEETPhysics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology

For younger students, SCORE measures broad academic foundations.

For middle and secondary students, the syllabus increasingly tests conceptual and analytical ability.

For senior JEE and NEET aspirants, the assessment becomes more closely aligned with the subject combination of the student's target examination.

How Should Students Use the SCORE Syllabus for Preparation?

A syllabus is useful only when it is converted into an actionable study plan.

Students can use the SCORE syllabus in the following way.

1. Start With Your Correct Class or Pathway

Do not prepare from a syllabus meant for another class.

Classes 11 and 12 students should also distinguish clearly between: JEE and NEET.

2. Convert the Syllabus Into a Checklist

Create a simple tracker.

TopicPreparation Status
Topic 1Strong
Topic 2Needs Revision
Topic 3Not Started
Topic 4Practised

This makes it easier to identify what still needs attention.

3. Separate Strong and Weak Topics

Do not spend equal time everywhere.

Mark topics as:

  • Strong – quick revision needed
  • Average – needs more practice
  • Weak – concept revision required

Start with weak but important concepts before returning to stronger areas.

4. Check Prerequisite Concepts

If a topic depends on something studied in an earlier class, revise that foundation first.

For example:

Quadratic equations may require algebraic fluency.

Electricity may depend on basic understanding of current and circuits.

Chemical bonding becomes easier with a sound understanding of atomic structure.

5. Practise After Revising Each Topic

Reading alone does not confirm whether a concept can be applied.

After revision:

Learn → Practise → Check mistakes → Revise → Practise again

For a complete preparation strategy, students can refer to the dedicated How to Prepare for SCORE 2026 guide.

SCORE Syllabus vs SCORE Exam Pattern – What Is the Difference?

Students often use “syllabus” and “exam pattern” interchangeably, but they answer different questions.

This page focuses specifically on the SCORE Syllabus 2026.

For question count, marking, negative marking and duration, students should refer to the dedicated SCORE Exam Pattern 2026 guide.

This distinction also helps students avoid spending preparation time on logistical information when their immediate goal is to identify the topics they need to revise.

Start Preparing With the SCORE Syllabus 2026

The best way to begin SCORE preparation is to first identify your class and, for Classes 11–12, your JEE or NEET pathway. Use the subject-wise syllabus above as a checklist, identify topics that need revision and begin practice after completing each concept.

Students should also check the related SCORE resources for the next stage of preparation:

The dedicated syllabus page should remain the primary source for what to study, while these supporting pages answer the other stages of the SCORE journey.
