All candidates who took the Re NEET 2026 exam will get 4 bonus marks. The update came after the National Testing Agency, NTA, removed one Physics question from the Re NEET 2026 answer key. Since the question has been dropped, NTA will add 4 marks to the score of every candidate. Students do not need to apply separately for these marks. The Re NEET 2026 bonus marks will be added automatically while preparing the final result.

The Re NEET bonus marks 2026 have been given because one question was removed from the official answer key. This usually happens when a question is found wrong, confusing, or not fit for evaluation. In such cases, the exam authority drops the question and gives equal marks to all candidates so that no student is at a disadvantage.
The Re NEET 2026 4 bonus marks will be added to the final score of every appeared candidate. While checking expected marks with the Re NEET 2026 answer key, students should add 4 extra marks to their calculated score.

The dropped question was from the Physics section and was based on Vernier calipers. In the question, students had to find the actual length of a wire using the given Vernier caliper reading.

The options given in the question paper were:
Options Given
0.60 cm
0.96 cm
1.00 cm
1.04 cm
However, after applying the standard Vernier caliper formula, the correct answer comes out to be 1.06 cm. Since this option was not available in the question paper, none of the given answers was correct. Because of this error, NTA dropped the Physics question and decided to give 4 bonus marks to all candidates.

The dropped question will increase every candidate’s score by 4 marks. However, it may not bring a major change in the Re NEET 2026 merit list because all candidates are getting the same bonus marks. This means the overall score will go up, but the rank difference between candidates is expected to remain almost the same.
