Answer: The angle at 2 o’clock (60°) is smaller.

Question 4: When you sit on a chair, what angle is formed between your thigh and abdomen?

Solution:
When sitting straight, the thigh and abdomen form an angle of about 90°.

Answer: Approximately 90° (Right Angle).

Question 5: Which of the following is a straight angle?
a) 45°
b) 90°
c) 180°
d) 270°

Solution:

A straight angle = 180°

Answer: (c) 180°

Question 6: Name the type of angle for the following:

Less than 90°

Exactly 90°

Between 90° and 180°

Exactly 180°

Solution:

Less than 90° → Acute Angle

Exactly 90° → Right Angle

Between 90° and 180° → Obtuse Angle

Exactly 180° → Straight Angle

Answer: Acute, Right, Obtuse, Straight

Question 7: Identify the type of angle formed when the clock shows:

12:00

6:00

9:00

Solution:

12:00 → 0° (No angle)

6:00 → 180° (Straight angle)

9:00 → 90° (Right angle)

Answer: 0°, 180°, 90°

Question 8: Draw a triangle. How many angles does it have?

Solution: A triangle has 3 sides and 3 angles.

Answer: A triangle always has 3 angles.

Question 9: How many right angles are there in a rectangle?

Solution: A rectangle has 4 corners, and each corner forms a right angle (90°).

Answer: A rectangle has 4 right angles.

Question 10: What type of angle is formed by:
a) A book kept closed?
b) A book kept fully open on a table?
c) The corner of a square tile?

Solution:
a) Book kept closed → 0° angle (no angle)
b) Book kept fully open → 180° (straight angle)
c) Corner of a square tile → 90° (right angle)

Answer: 0°, 180°, 90°

Question 11: A boy rotates his arm:

Half a turn → What angle is formed?

One full turn → What angle is formed?

Solution:

Half a turn = 180° (Straight angle)

One full turn = 360° (Complete angle)

Answer: Half turn → 180°, Full turn → 360°

Question 12: Which shapes have only right angles?

Square

Rectangle

Triangle

Circle

Solution:

Square → 4 right angles

Rectangle → 4 right angles

Triangle → Can have right angle but not all

Circle → No angle

Answer: Square and Rectangle

Question 13: At 4 o’clock, what type of angle is made between the hands of the clock?

Solution: At 4 o’clock, the hands form a 120° angle.

Since it is greater than 90° but less than 180°, it is an Obtuse Angle.

Answer: Obtuse Angle (120°)
