Population is uneven because of physical factors (climate, land, water) and economic factors (jobs, industries). For example, plains with fertile soil like the Ganga plains are densely populated, while deserts like the Sahara have very few people because of extreme heat and lack of water.
Population changes because of birth rate, death rate, and migration.
Birth rate – Number of babies born.
Death rate – Number of people who die.
Migration – People moving from one place to another.
If births are more than deaths, population grows.
Population density means how many people live per square kilometre in an area.
Formula: Population Density = Total Population ÷ Land Area
