A very Good afternoon to all present here and lots of love to all the school’s students. As you all know, my name ________ and I teach for Standard ———–.

I am overwhelmed by all that love and respect students have shown today towards the other teachers and me. On behalf of all the school’s teachers, I take the opportunity to thank the students from this dais today.

As teachers, our whole life revolves around our students. We seldom have engagements other than conducting classes, giving homework, correcting notebooks, revising for the next day’s lecture, etc. This is what we do 24/7, every day for a whole year. No complaints, though, as we love to do it!

But today, we got a rather rejuvenating break from our everyday routine; thanks to all the lovely students for the love and compassion they have displayed towards us.

We thank you all for respecting, loving, and felicitating us on the occasion of Teachers Day, but also for being ideal and punctual students, as we have always wanted you to be.

As a student, each of you has been a wonderful gift to us. We thank you all for your punctuality, sincerity, honesty, discipline, and for giving us a motive in life.

Everyone needs to be motivated every day; some listen to their favorite song, some look at the poster of the politician, actor, or sportsman, they aspire to be one day. We, my lovely students, look at you! Your innocent, curious faces keep us going and motivate us every day. For this, we, the teachers, owe a big Thank You to our students.

Our relationship is a mutual give-and-take kind of relationship. We support you with our expertise and experience while you all support us by listening to us diligently and religiously following our instructions. For this, we owe you all a Thank You! Wait! There is more to come, as we will not lose the opportunity to thank our loving students.

Sometimes we scolded and punished you for some reason or the other, but that was only to abstain from getting misguided. But, as teachers, we all owe you great applause for obeying our instructions, even punishments. There hasn’t been a single moment in our memory when our students complained about getting punished. Your simplicity and honesty have won our hearts, and today we thank you all from the bottom of our very hearts.

The worth of a teacher is decided by how much their students confide in them. We thank you all, our lovely students, for showing confidence in us, and we can’t describe the feeling of being trusted and loved by innocent souls like you all.

But, this Thank You isn’t only for the academically bright and excellent students but also those who don’t perform well academically. When a student fails, s/he doesn’t fail alone, but the teacher also fails with them.

Failure of a student acts as a motivator for the teacher, who in turn makes it a life goal to improve the student. Today, I want to confess, on behalf of all the teachers, that the average and below-average performers among you are the ones we always talk to and discuss to make you improve. Infact, we are a little more concerned about you, but not to worry, as together we will get over all the obstacles and see the light of the day.

We thank you for your support and assure you that we together will take you all to new horizons where you will discover your full potential and talent. Everyone is blessed, and we, too, are blessed with you.
