The National Testing Agency, also known as NTA, has issued important guidelines for the smooth and secure conduct of the NEET UG 2026 Re-Examination. As per the official press release, the NEET UG 2026 re-exam is scheduled to be held on Saturday, 21 June 2026.
The exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM IST. Candidates eligible for compensatory time under the PwD or PwBD category will be allowed to write the examination up to 6:20 PM.
The NTA has also confirmed that the re-examination will be conducted across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad for more than 22.79 lakh candidates. To ensure transparency, safety and smooth management, NTA has put in place strict security arrangements, biometric verification, CCTV surveillance, trained invigilators, observers and city-level coordination teams.
