    All India Counseling Procedure of NEET: The registration process for the All India Quota (AIQ) Round 1 Counseling for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET-UG 2021) will end on January 24, 2022. Candidates can submit their application forms until 12:00 noon. on the Medical Counseling Committee’s official website, mcc.nic.in. Candidates can fill out their choices again till 11:55 p.m., while the fee payment window will be open until 3:00 p.m.

    The institutes will verify candidates’ documents from January 25 to January 26 in accordance with the NEET-UG counseling schedule. From January 27 to January 28, 2022, seat allotment processing will begin. On January 29, the seat allotment results for Round 1 will be officially confirmed. The second round of NEET-UG 2021 Counseling registration will begin on February 9, 2022.

    The MCC has released a NEET counseling brochure that details the process for AIQ, central/deemed universities, ESIC/AFMS, AIIMS, JIPMER, and BSc Nursing seat allocation. MCC NEET UG counseling for BSc Nursing will take place in five rounds in 2021. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the NEET UG counseling schedule for all states, which will be conducted by state officials. And according to NMC, the first round of state NEET counseling for 2021 will begin on January 27, 2022. The second round of NEET-UG 2021 state counseling will start on February 15, 2022.

    Rounds:

    The first round of NEET counseling results will be announced on January 29, 2022. Candidates must provide their preferences for colleges and courses in which they want to enroll during the NEET 2021 counseling registration process. The NEET counseling for 2021 admission will be done based on these choices, available seats, NEET scores, reservation criteria, and other factors. The Supreme Court had previously allowed the resumption of NEET counseling in 2021 under the current EWS and OBC reservation criteria.

    MCC had previously announced new changes to the NEET AIQ counseling in 2021 through a notice. MCC will conduct four rounds of AIQ NEET counseling, according to the latest updates: round 1, round 2, mop-up round, and stray vacancy round. NEET 2021 will be held for 89,395 MBBS, 27,948 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 603 BVSc, and AH admissions. Admissions to BSc Nursing, 1,899 AIIMS, and 249 JIPMER MBBS seats will be readily accessible through NEET UG counseling 2021. MCC has also issued an advisory to candidates interested in participating in the NEET 2021 counseling process. The state conducting authority will announce the NEET state rank for 2021.

    Procedure:

    • Aspirants must enter their personal, academic, NEET-UG, contact, and other information to register for the first round of NEET counseling in 2021. The NEET 2021 counseling registration fee must be paid online by students. Aspirants must fill out the choices of colleges and courses for admission during the MCC NEET counseling 2021.
    • NEET-UG seat allotment will take place after the registration process, and will be based on NEET scores, choices made, seat availability, reservation criteria, and other factors. Around 20,089 seats will be filled through NEET counseling under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ), which includes all deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS institutes, AIIMS and JIPMER colleges.
    • On September 12, NEET 2021 was held for admission to 83,075 MBBS seats, 26,949 BDS seats, 52,720 AYUSH seats, 603 BVSc & AH seats, 1,899 AIIMS seats, and 249 JIPMER MBBS seats. On November 1, the National Testing Agency (NTA) publicly released the NEET 2021 results at neet.nta.nic.in.

    The following is the new AIQ counseling procedure of NEET:

    • The first, second, mop-up and stray rounds of MCC NEET counseling will be held in 2021.
    • Only until the mop-up round will new registrations be permitted.
    • In the first round of NEET counseling in 2021, aspirants will be given the option of up-gradation and free exit.
    • Candidates who take a seat in the first round of NEET-UG counseling are unable to resign and are therefore ineligible to participate in subsequent rounds of counseling.
    • Candidates who do not accept their allotted seat in the second round will be eligible for additional rounds of counseling if they pay a security deposit and register again in the mop-up round.

    Counseling Procedure of NEET:

    Deemed University in its entirety

    • Round 1, Round 2 of AIQ, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round are the four rounds of counseling.
    • MCC will conduct three of the four rounds online, particularly regarding Round 1, Round 2, and the Mop-Up Round.
    • The respective Deemed Universities will conduct the Stray Vacancy round.

    JIPMER and AIIMS

    • For 18 AIIMS, there will be four rounds of counseling: Round 1, Round 2 of AIQ, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round.
    • Three of the four rounds, namely Round 1, Round 2, and the Mop-Up Round, will be held online by MCC.
    • AIIMS will be in charge of the Vacancy Round.

    ESIC

    • Through the All India Quota, 15% of ESIC seats will be allocated (Round one & two).
    • The remaining 85% of seats will be treated as state quota seats and will be available to all candidates in the Mop-up Round.

    Central Institute or University

    • NEET 2021 counseling will be conducted in four rounds: Round 1, Round 2 of AIQ, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round.
    • MCC will conduct three of the four rounds online, namely Round 1, Round 2, and the Mop-Up Round.
    • A stray vacancy round will be held by the respective Central University/Institute.

    Question: Who is eligible for NEET All India Counseling?

    Answer:

    • Candidates who score in the top half of the NEET exam (40th percentile for SC/ ST/ OBC and 45th percentile for general-physically handicapped) are considered qualified.
    • In addition, the ministry publishes a list of qualified candidates under the All India Quota but excludes candidates from Jammu and Kashmir from participating in the 15% AIQ Counseling.
    • Candidates have to register themselves on the MCC website to become eligible for the counseling process.
    Is it possible to apply for NEET Counseling in the second round?

    In the second round of counseling, there will be no new candidate registration or choice submission. This round of allotment will take into account main counseling choices (submitted before the first round).
