NTA conducts the JEE Main exam in January and April, held twice a year. It will be an online computer-based test (CBT) that comprises two papers.

    • Paper 2 is for candidates seeking admission to B.Arch/B.Planning courses.
    • Both papers will be in online mode. The exam will be held in two shifts – Morning and Evening.
    • The exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical answer-type questions. The total marks for the exam are 600 (300 for Paper 1 and 300 for Paper 2). The duration of the exam is 3 hours.

If we look at JEE Main 2022, NTA conducted the JEE Main exam in two sessions. The first session was held between June 20 and June 29, 2022, and the second session between July 21 and July 30, 2022. Candidates can register for both sessions of the JEE exam, as last year. Before filling out the JEE Main application form, candidates must read the information brochure thoroughly.

The exam pattern for JEE Main 2023 will be similar to the previous year’s pattern. The JEE Main 2023 will remain similar to the JEE Main 2022 syllabus. Candidates can start preparing for the exam by referring to the NCERT books for Class 11th and 12th. In addition, various mock tests and practice papers are available online, which can help candidates prepare.
