    Instructions for Exam Day

    3. Candidates are not allowed to leave the Examination Room/Hall before the examination is completed.

    5. Candidates should attentively study the COVID-19 Instructions and Advisory that came with their admission card and follow them to the letter.
    6. Candidates are encouraged to attend the test location a day ahead of time to view the arrangements at the centre if they are able.
    7. Candidates who are required to wear special apparel owing to their religion or customs should arrive early at the centre for a thorough screening.
    8. Candidates will not be permitted to enter the test centre unless they have been properly frisked using a Handheld Metal Detector (HHMD). This will be done without putting any pressure on the body.
    9. When it comes to the dress code, thick-soled shoes and clothing with huge buttons are not authorized.
    10. Candidates will be given five blank paper pages on which to do their rough work. Before leaving the examination hall/room, candidates must write their name and roll number at the top of the document and put it in the allocated dropbox. Failure to do so may result in the responses not being evaluated.
    11. At the conclusion of the test, the duly completed Admit Card must be deposited in the specified dropbox. Failure to do so may result in the candidate’s responses not being evaluated.
    12. Candidates shall not use unethical methods or engage in unethical examination procedures. Exam centres are frequently monitored by CCTV cameras, and jammers are also deployed.
    13. If it is discovered at any time that a candidate has filed numerous applications and/or appeared in more than one date/shift, the individual’s candidature will be terminated, and legal action will be taken, including exclusion from any future NTA exams.

    Things to bring in JEE Exam

    • JEE Main 2021 Admit Card: Double-check that all of the information on the admit card is valid. Check your name, gender, date of birth, test center, paper, city, and state eligibility codes, as well as your category
    • Candidates must carry a legitimate identity card containing their name and photograph provided by the Indian government, such as an Aadhar card, a Pan card, a Ration card, a Passport, or a Voter ID card.

    Things not to bring in JEE Exam

    The following is a list of items you should not bring to the JEE Main 2021 test.

    • Students will be prohibited from wearing any type of jewellery or accessories. It’s also not permitted to wear a watch. Students should dress in a basic dress with a few pockets.
    • Electronic Gadgets: Calculators, cell phones, headphones, cameras, tape recorders, log tables, slide rules, and documents are not permitted in the test hall.
    • Baggage: Students are not permitted to bring any type of luggage into the test room. Items lost or stolen on the grounds of the test hall are not the responsibility of the examination centres.
    • Students taking JEE Main 2020 paper 1 will not be permitted to bring any stationery items like pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, or paper. During the examination, pupils will be given the necessary stationery from the examination centres.
    • Snacks and drinks are forbidden in the test hall, as are smoking and drinking. In the examination hall, students are not permitted to drink, eat, or smoke. Diabetic students are permitted to carry sugar pills or fruits, as well as a water bottle. However, packaged foods such as chocolate, candies, and other such items are banned.

    Important document to carry

    Students taking the JEE Main 2022 exam will be required to produce the invigilator with the documents that NTA has stipulated. According to the rules, the following papers are necessary.

    • Downloaded from the NTA website (a clear printable on A4 size paper) and fully filled in admit card with Self Declaration (Undertaking).
    • For individuals who have passed the class 12 board exam, a valid class 12 board mark sheet is required.
    • For individuals who have yet to take the class 12 board test, a valid admission card or hall ticket is required.
    • Valid admission card or hall ticket – for those who have been selected for the class 12 board test improvement exam.

    Is it ok if I arrive at the centre 1 hour before the Exam?

    Yes, you can show up at the exam centre before one or even two hours. However, everything will happen in accordance with NTA's rules and timelines.

    Is it permissible to wear watches in the JEE Main 2022 test centres?
