- What’s Next?
In the previous segment, we learnt about the Power law of exponents. In this segment, we will learn about the Power of product and the Power of quotient properties.
What is the Power of product property?
For non-zero integers a and b, (? × ?)? = ?? × ??, where m is an integer. For example,
(2 × 3)2 = 22 × 32.
The term (? × ?)? is read as a raised to b the whole raised to m.

What is the Power of quotient property?
For non-zero integers a and b, (? ÷ ?)? = ?? ÷ ??, where m is an integer. For example,
(2 ÷ 7)2 = 22 ÷ 72.
The term (? ÷ ?)? is read as a divided by b the whole raised to m.
