In the previous segment, we proved the Converse of alternate angles test. In this segment, we will learn the Corresponding angles test and its converse.
What is the Corresponding angles test?
The corresponding angles test says that if a pair of corresponding angles formed by a transversal of two coplanar lines are congruent, then the lines are parallel.
Given:
Two coplanar lines, line p and line q and a transversal which intersects the two lines at two distinct points G and H.

There are four pairs of congruent corresponding angles: ∠EGB ≅ ∠GHD, ∠EGA ≅ ∠GHC, ∠AGH ≅
∠CHF, ∠BGH ≅ ∠DHF.
