    Moving on, we will understand two more properties of a plane mirror image.

    The fourth property states that the image is at the same distance away from the mirror as the object is. It means that the distance of an object from the mirror is equal to the distance of its image from the mirror.

    We can easily verify this property by conducting a small experiment. For this, we require a plane mirror and a chessboard.

    First, keep the plane mirror and the chessboard such that their edges touch each other. Next, we will place the king on the white square at the right extreme as shown.
