With the latest developments in IIT-JEE over the recent years, including the Examination Mode, pattern, etc., we at Infinity Learn have designed a comprehensive JEE preparation course to assist aspirants in securing a rank in the national-level entrance exam. To help students prepare effectively for the exam, especially from the comfort of their homes, we offer a complete range of solutions, study materials, and close mentoring.

JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) is the most famous engineering entrance exam in India conducted by the IITs. Additionally, JEE is the most-recognised competitive exam, where lakhs of engineering aspirants compete to get into top engineering institutions. When a student gets admitted to these institutions, they get access to the best resources, including teachers, facilities, and other amenities. Furthermore, students who successfully complete the course in these colleges get placed in some of the world’s most prestigious companies.

IIT JEE consists of two categories: JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Main is the first phase of JEE and JEE Advanced is the second phase of the JEE Exam. In order to be eligible for JEE Advanced, candidates must qualify JEE Main. National Testing Agency (NTA) has been conducting JEE Main exam since 2019. Students can choose to attend one session or all. Based on the best score, the NTA compiles a merit list of the scores.

As discussed earlier, IIT-JEE Advanced is the second or final phase of the JEE examination. Candidates who qualify JEE Advanced will be eligible for admission to the undergraduate programmes at the 23 IITs and 9 Premier Institutes. Admission to IITs will be based on the candidate’s All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Advanced. The JEE Advanced exam consists of two papers and is conducted as an online computer-based test. To qualify for the merit list, candidates must appear for both paper 1 and paper 2. Seven different IITs conduct the JEE Advanced exam every year on a rotating basis.

JEE is one of the most difficult engineering entrance exams in India and the world. The syllabus of JEE is extensive, and the exam questions are complex. To crack JEE, students must possess strong academic skills and develop effective problem-solving skills. We focus on ensuring each student learns proactively and achieves greater success on competitive exams through all our offerings at Infinity Learn.

    JEE Advanced 2023 Cut-off

JEE Advanced 2023 Cut-off is the minimum marks required to qualify for admission into various IITs and other engineering institutions. The cut-off is determined based on various factors like the difficulty of the exam, number of applicants, number of seats offered etc.

JEE Advanced 2023 is expected to be tougher than the previous year due to the increased number of applications and the addition of new topics in the syllabus. The increased difficulty of the exam is likely to cause a rise in the cut-off marks.

The cut-off marks are expected to be higher for IITs as compared to other engineering colleges. This is because of the limited number of seats available at IITs and the high competition among aspirants to get admission into these premier institutes.

The exact cut-off marks for JEE Advanced 2023 will be released by the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) committee after the results have been declared. However, based on the current trends, it is expected that the cut-off marks for various IITs will be in the range of 95-100 for the general category and 90-95 for the reserved categories such as SC/ST.

    1. Performance in JEE (Main) 2023
To be eligible for consideration, candidates must be among the top 250,000 successful candidates (across all categories) in the B.E./B.Tech. paper of JEE (Main) 2023. The selection process will include the following percentage allocation for each category:

    7.5% for ST
and the remaining 40.5% is OPEN for all.
Additionally, within each of these five categories, 5% horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates. The order of selection for the top 250,000 candidates in various categories, based on their performance in the B.E./B.Tech. paper of JEE (Main) 2023, is outlined in the following table.
Category-wise distribution of top 2,50,000* candidates
Order Category Number of “Top” Candidates

It is important to note that candidates who appeared in the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2021 or earlier are not eligible to participate in JEE (Advanced) 2023, regardless of the combination of subjects attempted or offered.
    5. Earlier admission at IITs
A candidate is ineligible to appear for JEE 2023 Advanced exam if they have been previously admitted to an IIT, regardless of whether they continued in the program or accepted an IIT seat by reporting “online” or at a “reporting centre”. Additionally, candidates whose admission to IITs was cancelled after joining any IIT, regardless of the reason, are also not eligible for JEE (Advanced) 2023.

However, candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2022 are eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2023.
