    JEE Main Paper 1

    This exam is conducted in 2 papers.

    While the first paper (JEE Main Paper 1) is meant for engineering, the second paper (JEE Main Paper 2) is for architecture.

    • Who are eligible to appear? – Students who pass their 12th grade
    • When is the exam conducted? – (twice a year to four times a year)

    The JEE main 2024 is expected to be conducted in four segments in March, April, May, and June

    • Marking Scheme – (+4) for every correct answer and (-1) for every wrong answer

    The JEE Mains exam will have a cut-off range to qualify for the JEE Advanced paper. You can take the JEE advanced exam only if you clear the exam with the required marks.

    JEE Exam Counselling Rounds and Allotments of Seats

    After you have cleared the JEE mains exam, there will be counseling rounds for admission into NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs.

    In the NITs, IIITs, and other CFTs, admission will be made by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority)

    Students who qualify in JEE Mains must do the registration and choice filling.

    JoSAA will admit candidates in the first year of Engineering/Technology and Architecture/Planning Programs of 31 NITs, 26 IIITs, IIEST, and 23 other Government Funded Institutes (GFTIs) (list displayed on website josaa.nic.in) based on their rain in JEE (Main) and category, through a centralized seat allocation procedure, for the academic session.
