JEE Exam Pattern: For applicants and students taking the IIT JEE test, understanding the JEE Main exam format is critical.     The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been given the responsibility to establish and develop the JEE Main syllabus, as well as to define the test format, starting in 2019. While there were a few changes to the exam design in 2019, the NTA has left the exam pattern mostly the same as last year for the 2022 exam. The following are some of the notable changes in 2022.

    1. Instead of four exam sessions, there will be two. The test will be held in two sessions, the first in April and the second in May.
    2. Both Section A and Section B will have negative markings.

    Exam Pattern for JEE Main 2022

    The IIT JEE 2022 test will be held twice, in April and May. Students should be familiar with the JEE Main 2022 test pattern in order to understand the examination style, types of questions, the total number of sections, and marking scheme, among other things.     JEE Main Marking Scheme

    MCQs: Each correct response will receive four points, with each incorrect answer receiving a one-point penalty.

    Candidates will be granted four marks for each correct answer and a negative mark of one mark for each incorrect response on questions having numerical value answers.

    What is the number of papers in the JEE exam?

    Two papers The National Testing Agency administers the JEE Main exam (NTA). Paper-I and Paper-II are the two papers that make up JEE Main. Candidates may choose one or both options. Multiple choice questions appear on both sheets.

    What is the JEE pass mark?

    Approximately 75% Students must have obtained at least 75% in their 12th grade or be in the top 20% of their class (65% for SC/ST candidates) in order to be considered. To be eligible for JEE Main 2022 admission, he or she must have completed a 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
