West Bengal JEE Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wanted to take the WBJEE 2022 exam had to meet specific age requirements, according to the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is held every year for admission to postgraduate engineering and medical programmes in West Bengal universities, government colleges, private colleges, and technical colleges. WBJEE is a state-level aptitude test for students interested in pursuing undergraduate degrees in engineering, pharmacy, architecture, and other fields. Passing this test qualifies qualified applicants for admission to West Bengal’s public and private universities.

Candidates who wanted to take the WBJEE had to meet the eligibility requirements set forth by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB), which is the exam’s regulating organisation.

WBJEE 2021 was open to those who did not have the required right of residence. As a result, applicants had to meet the WBJEE 2021 residency eligibility criterion in order to be admitted to public engineering institutes with restricted seats.

Applicants completed the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent board/council recognised under normal class mode in order to pass the WBJEE 2022 Eligibility Criteria Exam. WBJEE 2022 needed applicants to pass Class 12 or an equivalent qualifying exam with a minimum score of 45 percent. The WBJEE 2022 eligibility criteria included a variety of requirements that applicants had to meet in order to participate in the WBJEE 2022 admission process, such as nationality, age, residency, education, and so on.

Please note that students who were taking their 12th test in 2020 were entitled to apply for the WBJEE 2022, however, they were not placed until they passed the qualifying exam with the required score according to the WBJEE eligibility criteria. In such instances, the student could only be able to benefit from the placement if they passed the qualifying exam with the minimum eligibility criterion of WBJEE 2022. Applicants with non-formal, irregular class, extra-curricular education, open schooling, or online learning modes were ineligible for WBJEE 2022 admission.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants’ eligibility for the WBJEE depends on factors such as qualifications, skill classes, age limits, and nationality. Applicants can only obtain the General Application for the Entrance Test from the official WBJEEB website located at www.wbjeeb.nic.in.
• From October 18 to November 13, 2022, the WBJEE application form was only available on the official WBJEE website.
• The 2018 WBJEE application period begun on December 19, 2018, and the WBJEE General Admissions Exam was held on April 24, 2018.
• Candidates who took the exam was given a WBJEE 2018 admission card, which they provided at the exam centre. Candidates had their documents to confirm admission while physically attending the WBJEE 2018 consultation checked.
• Applicants passed the 10+2 exam or an equivalent test with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as core subjects and a minimum aggregate score of 60% (45% for Restricted category applicants) in three subjects.

• WBJEE 2022 percentile of English grades in the Kolkata University Entrance Examination Grade 12 Candidates for the West Bengal University of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries’ BTech (Dairy Technology) programme should have completed a 10+2 qualifying examination with at least 50% (40 percent of candidates for WBJEE 2020) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as obligatory courses.
