In the previous segment, we have understood How electric current is measured. In this segment, we will learn to solve a word problem based on measuring electric current.
Problem
Q. A current of 200 mA is drawn by a load for 6 minutes. Find the amount of electric charge that flows through the circuit.
Given:
Electric current (I) = 200 mA Time (t) = 6 mins
To find: Charge (Q)
Formula: ? = ?/?
Solution:
? = 200 ?? = 200/1000 ? = 0.2 ?
? = 6 ???? = 6 ? 60 ? = 360?
? = ?/? 0.2 = ?/360
? = 0.2 ? 360 = 72?
? = 72?
Therefore, the amount of electric charge that flows through the circuit is 72 coulombs.

In the next segment of Class 10 Science, we will learn about the Electric potential difference.
