Construction of a circle when its radius is known
In the previous segment, we learnt about Geometric tools. In this segment, we will learn how to construct a circle using a given radius.
What is a Circle?
A Circle is a closed curve consisting of all points in a plane that are at an equal distance from a fixed point.
Circle
It can also be defined as the curve traced out by a point that moves in a plane such that its distance from a fixed point is constant. This fixed point is called the Centre of the circle. The fixed distance between the centre of the circle is called its Radius.
Some examples of circles in our day-to-day life are coin, roti, ring, wheel.
