What is a Chord in a circle?
The line segment joining any two distinct points on a circle is called a Chord.
For example,
in the below figure, segment AB is the chord of the circle with centre O.

The chord passing through the centre of a circle is its Diameter.
For example,
the line segment AB passing through the centre O of the circle is its diameter.
