What is a Blackbuck Animal?
The blackbuck (Antilope cervicapra) is an antelope found in parts of India and Pakistan. It is a reddish-brown animal with white markings on its face and a black stripe down its back. It stands about 80 cm (31 in) tall at the shoulder and weighs around 40 kg (88 lbs). The blackbuck is a herbivore, feeding on grasses, leaves, and flowers. It is a gregarious animal, typically living in herds of 10-30 animals. The blackbuck is a good jumper and can run up to 50 km/h (31 mph).
