Introduction

IIT Kharagpur was the first of seven IITs, which was established in 1951 and it is located in Kolkata 120 km west of its fame is of about 20,000 inhabitants. There is a park (STEP) that provides infrastructure facilities to the alumni who want to become entrepreneurs. It has engaged in the process of development of around 27 academics. It consists of 19 departments,7 centres and 9 schools, there are 3400 U.G students,1600 P.G students and 1400 research scholars are present and with that, nearly 500 faculty members and 1270 non-academic staff are there. It is famous for engineering courses. It was awarded an institute of eminence by the government in 2019. It was rated the 5th best institute of IIT by NIRF. IIT offers 117 courses in 5 areas, it is the largest among all the IITs in India.

He was appointed as a trustee of John. F Kennedy. He is known as the iron man – because he has done many things as he worked as an investor, businessman, philanthropist and democrat politician.

    • Madhumita Agarwal

    She is the co-founder of Ip excel. In addition to this she helps in the start-up ecosystem she helps companies to get the right partners and customers. Apart from this, she has helped many companies with technology commercialization and technology scouting services and most importantly she works as a secretary of the IIT Kharagpur alumni association. She is an expert in technology analyst consulting, intellectual property protection, and technology scouting. Mrs Agarwal leads the Ip excel and is responsible for its growth. She is an IIT Bangalore as well as IIT Kharagpur alumni apart from all this she holds a law degree with a specialization in Ip laws and has done MBA also.

    • Rahul Jaimini

    He is an ex- co-founder of swiggy , he is an IIT Kharagpur 2010 graduate .he worked at nettop there he was part of the data protection group and responsible for the proper running of the app that whether it is functioning properly or not after doing all this he joined e-commerce firm Myntra there he worked as a senior software engineer where he had a small team of his own which is there to look after pricing, discounting, for promoting engine and basically he is responsible for revenue -impacting project and to make it fast and more efficient.

    He founded swiggy with his mutual friends Sri Harsha Majety and Nandan Reddy in the year 2014. He worked as a tech developer there. This includes an engineering analytics platform, swiggy labs. Additionally, he develops AI/ML to deliver a personalized experience at scale. Swiggy has been home for Rahul for the last 6 years. Finally, on May 7,2020, he joined pesto tech as a carrier accelerator start-up as their co-founder.

    • Mani Lal Bhaumik

    He received the Padma Shri award and he invented LASIK. Mr Mani received the Padma Shri award for his excellent work in science and in engineering in 2011. he invented vision correction laser technology, which made it possible for human beings to avoid glasses or contact lenses in many cases requiring vision correction, he debates the topic that science and spirituality are two sides of a coin they are not that different it allows us to believe upon both ourselves and objective reality. he is the one person who is awarded in PhD.

    At IIT Kharagpur in the year 1958. In his entire life, he has published over 50 papers in various professional journals and he is a holder of a dozen laser patients in the U.S. In addition to this is the U.S. A based physicist. In the year 2014, his foundation has 15-acre of land in the heart of Kolkata which he wants to give it to IIT Kharagpur to make a world-class research centre.

    • Suresh Vaswani

    He is the ex-chairman of Dell services. In addition to this, he is the senior director as well as operating partner of every stone group. Suresh has a lot of groups that were under his control that are innoveo, AG, serving global solutions etc.

    Apart from this, he is also an independent director with Vodafone idea limited and also an external advisor to brain consulting. prior to this, he worked as a general manager at IBM global technology services. Apart from this, he was also a member of the board.

    • Sundar Pichai

    He is the CEO of Google and alphabet. Mr Pichai started his career as a materials engineer. After that, he joined Google in the year 2004, after joining he was responsible for google drive.

    Furthermore, he also looked after other applications like Gmail, google maps and many after that he was selected as the next CEO of Google on August 10, 2015. Besides this, he earned his degree from IIT Kharagpur in metallurgical engineering.

    • Arjun Malhotra

    He is the co-founder of HCL technology, he is an industrialist and philanthropist in 1975 he co-founded the HCL group. Apart from this Arjun also founded techspan and served as a chief executive officer there. apart from that he also co-founded SPIC MACAY along with one of his college friends Kiran Seth. With all this, he is also a council member of NASSCOM.
