- What’s Next?
In the previous segment of the chapter ‘Acids, Bases and Salts’, we studied the Diluted or Concentrated Acid/Bases. In this segment, let us get ourselves introduced to the pH of substances.
What is pH?
pH of substances
Acids and bases both contain ?+ ions. Bases show a lower concentration of ?+ ions compared to the concentration of ??−ions.
pH provides the measure of the strength of acids or bases. It takes into account the concentration of ?+ ions in the solution.
The pH of acids is less than 7, pH of salts is 7 and pH of bases is more than 7.
