Solution:
In 2002, the Standing Committee submitted its recommendations to the Rajya Sabha.The Committee’s report accepted most of the demands of the women's groups. After being passed in both the houses of the Parliament, it was sent to the president for his assent. In this way the protection of women from Domestic violence act came into effect in 2006.
