JEE Notification Article

JEE Main 2022 is a national-level entrance exam for admissions into BE, B.Tech, B.Plan, and B.Arch Programs. Many prestigious universities in India, such as NITs, IITs, CFITs, and several other state-level colleges, use the JEE Main scores to determine admittance. On the other hand, admissions to IIT’s are granted only if the candidate passes JEE Advanced exam. Candidates who pass the JEE Main exam are eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam. This article covers everything you need to know about the JEE Main 2022 tests, including how to apply, eligibility criteria, and timetable.

    JEE Main 2022 Application Form

    You will have to fill and submit the application form for JEE Main 2022 online. To apply for the JEE Main 2022 test, you must have Aadhar Card Number. Candidates from the states J&K, Assam, and Meghalaya who have passed or are sitting in the class 12 examination can enter their passport number, ration card number, bank account number, or any other valid government ID number. They can select the city of examination from these states only.

    In the application form, the candidates must enter their personal information such as their name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, nationality, category, postal address, and educational information such as qualifying exam name, board, marks, roll number, and so on.

    Candidates should carefully fill out all fields. Incomplete or improper information can make your application get rejected.

    Candidates must provide scanned copies of their recent passport-size photo, Signature as well as the following documents: Duly verified result awaiting attestation form, Category certificate (SC/ST/OBS/EWS, etc.), and PWD certificate.

    Candidates who are visually impaired and have a 40% or greater disability can seek a scribe from the center superintendent at least two days before the examination. Candidates will not be permitted to bring their own scribe to the interview.

    JEE Exam notification

    JEE Main 2022 Application Fees:

    You can use SBI/ Canara Bank/ HDFC Bank/ ICICI Bank/ Paytm payment gateway Debit card/ Credit card/ Net banking/ UPI to pay the application fee. Any Demand Draft, Money Order, or Initial Public Offering (IPO) is not acceptable as payment for the application cost. You must pay the application cost according to the following structure, depending on your category and whether you choose an exam center in India or outside the country.

    Costs will be subject to additional processing fees and GST.

    After paying the fees, the candidate should take a printout of the acknowledgment page that appears. The student must retain this acknowledgment in a secure location for future correspondence. They do not have to send a paper copy of the application form to the JEE Main office.

    Failure to Exam Fee Payment

    If the fee payment status is not OK, candidates who submitted their fee via e-Challan should contact the concerned banks immediately.

    If the status is not OK, those who paid the fee with a debit or credit card must pay the fees again. If the amount was deducted during a failed payment, it will be reimbursed within 7-10 days to the bank account.

    JEE Main 2022 Eligibility Criteria

    Nationality

    IIT Main is open to Indian nationals, OCI/PIOs, and foreign nationals.

    Age Requirements

    No minimum age requirement to take JEE Main.

    Academic Requirements

    • In 2020 or 2021, the candidate must have completed a 10+2 or comparable qualifying exam. Those who will take the qualifying exam in 2022 are also eligible.
    • Students who took the 10+2 test in 2016 but did not pass and then retook the exam in 2019 are not eligible to apply.
    • Language, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subject, and any other subject are required for applicants to pass the qualifying exam.
    • Candidates who appear in six topics will be considered for the subject with the highest grade.

    Number of Attempts

    There is no limit to how many times you can take JEE Main.

    Eligibility for admission to IITs, NITs, and CFTIs through the Seat Allocation Board

    Applicants who have passed their class 12th test with at least 75% or are in the top 20% top of their respective boards with the following subject combination are eligible:

    JEE Main 2022 Syllabus

    According to the JEE Syllabus, question paper 1 will be drawn from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as taught in classes 11 and 12. Applicants should prepare for Paper 2 by studying subjects such as aptitude tests, mathematics, and drawing.

    IIT JEE 2022 Admit Card

    The admit card is accessible on the official website of NTA for download. In the second week of January 2022, you can expect the admit card to get released. Candidates who applied online and paid the examination fee on time would be able to download their admission cards. To obtain an Admission card, applicants must input their application number, date of birth, and security code. At the examination center, candidates must bring one photo ID along with their admit card.
