NEET 2023 Exam Pattern: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, more commonly known as the NEET Exam, is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses in India. It is the only entrance examination for medical colleges in India and is thus considered one of the most important examinations for aspiring medical students. The NEET Exam is held every year in May, and the application process begins in December.

    What is the exam pattern for NEET 2023?

    • The NEET 2023 exam is scheduled for May 7, 2023.
    • The NEET exam pattern for 2023 is as follows:
    • The NEET exam will be a 3-hour long exam consisting of 180 multiple-choice questions.

    NEET 2023 Examination Syllabus

    The exam syllabus for NEET is divided into four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany. The questions in the examination are designed to test the student’s knowledge of the subjects covered in Class XI and Class XII syllabi of the respective Boards. In addition, the question paper will also include some questions from general awareness.

    Qualifying Marks for NEET 2023

    The qualifying marks for NEET are 50% for general category candidates, 40% for SC/ST/OBC category candidates and 45% for PWD category candidates. The qualifying marks may vary from year to year.

    Candidates who qualify for NEET are eligible for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in government medical colleges, private medical colleges and deemed universities in India. Admission to AIIMS and JIPMER medical colleges is through a separate entrance examination.
