Consider an irregular figure as shown below.
Let us understand how to find the area an irregular figure using the following steps:
- Draw squares of area ? ??? inside and around it.
- Count the number of full squares covered by the irregular shape.
Here, there are 3 full squares covered by the shape.
- Count the number of squares that are half or more than half covered.
