    A body of mass 5 kg is thrown vertically upwards with a speed of 10 m/s. Its potential energy when it reaches the highest point is 250 J.
    Mass = 5 kg 
    Speed = 10 m/s
    Kinetic energy when the body starts moving upwards will be equal to the total energy of the body.
    KE = 12mv2
        = 12×5 ×10 × 10
        = 250 J
    According to the law of conservation of energy, at the highest point, all the kinetic energy of the body will be converted into potential energy. At the highest point the body will only have potential energy equal to its total energy.
    Therefore, at the highest point the potential energy of the body will be 250 J.
