Mahatma Gandhi said, “there is enough for everybody’s need but not for anybody’s greed.”Gandhi saw human greed and exploitative nature as the root cause of the depletion of resources. Resources are important for development, human activity, and survival, but resources are limited in nature. Irrational and overconsumption of such resources can lead to various social, economic, developmental and environmental problems. Thus there is a need to conserve resources and head for sustainable development.
