    Given that, LCM (12, 42) = 10m+4.
    We have to find the value of m.
    Now, the prime factors of 12 and 42 are.
    12=2×2×3 42=2×3×7  
    So,
    LCM(12,42)=2×2×3×7  
    LCM= 84  
    The LCM of 12 and 42 is 10 m + 4.
    So, equating both values we have,
    10m+4=84 10m=80 m=8   Hence, the value of m is 8.
