What is a Lens?
- A lens is a transparent material that bends the light in some pattern.
- Lenses are of two types: simple lenses and compound lenses.
- A simple lens is a transparent material that is bounded by two surfaces, in which one of them can be spherical and the other can be spherical or plane.
- There are six types of lenses:
- Biconvex lens
- Plano-convex lens
- Positive Meniscus
- Negative meniscus
- Plano concave lens
- Biconcave lens
