    What is a Lens?

    • A lens is a transparent material that bends the light in some pattern.
    • Lenses are of two types: simple lenses and compound lenses.
    • A simple lens is a transparent material that is bounded by two surfaces, in which one of them can be spherical and the other can be spherical or plane.
    • There are six types of lenses:
      • Biconvex lens
      • Plano-convex lens
      • Positive Meniscus
      • Negative meniscus
      • Plano concave lens
      • Biconcave lens
