1) Buddhism which originated in eastern India spread across the world through the silk routes known for trade in pre-modern times.
2) Food, another example of cultural exchange, has been spread to different corners through trade. Example: Potatoes, chilies, tomatoes, etc. which originated in the Americas were carried to other parts of the world through trade activities.
