Introduction about Fever;
A fever is a common medical symptom caused by an increase in body temperature. It is not a disease in and of itself, but rather a sign that the body is fighting an infection or other illness. Fever can be accompanied by sweating, chills, headache, muscle aches, and a general feeling of weakness. While a fever is not necessarily dangerous, it can be a sign of a more serious illness. Fever can be treated with medications such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen, or by drinking plenty of fluids.
Hyperthermia
is a condition where the body’s internal temperature rises above the normal temperature of 37 degrees Celsius. The body’s internal thermostat, or hypothalamus, signals the body to release heat in order to cool down. This may be done by increasing the heart rate and blood flow to the skin, by shivering to produce heat, or by sweating. When the body’s internal temperature reaches 40 degrees Celsius or higher, the person is considered to have a fever.
Hyperthermia is most often caused by exposure to high temperatures, such as in a hot tub, sauna, or during a heat wave. It can also be caused by exercise, alcohol or drug use, or by certain medical conditions, such as heat stroke.
People with hyperthermia may experience symptoms such as a headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, muscle cramps, and a rapid heart rate. In severe cases, hyperthermia can lead to seizures, brain damage, or even death.
If you think you or someone else has hyperthermia, it is important to get medical help right away. Treatment may include cooling the person down with ice packs or cold water, giving them fluids, and in severe cases, using medication or surgery.
Types
of computer
There are three types of computer, which are classified according to the way they store information:
1. Analog computers
Analog computers use a continuously varying voltage or current to represent information. This type of computer is no longer in use.
2. Digital computers
Digital computers use a series of on and off switches to represent information. This type of computer is the most common type and is used in most personal computers and laptops.
3. Hybrid computers
Hybrid computers use a combination of analog and digital techniques to represent information. This type of computer is used in some industrial applications.
Hyperpyrexia
is an increase in body temperature above the normal range. It is most often caused by a fever, which is an elevation in the body’s set point for normal temperature. A fever is usually a sign that the body is fighting off an infection. Other causes of hyperpyrexia include seizures, heat stroke, and certain medications.
Symptoms of hyperpyrexia include a high fever, sweating, increased heart rate, and feeling very hot. If left untreated, hyperpyrexia can lead to organ failure, brain damage, and even death. Treatment for hyperpyrexia includes cooling the body with ice packs or cold water, medications to reduce fever, and in some cases, hospitalization.
Fever Symptoms
Fever is a condition in which the body’s temperature rises above the normal range. Fever is usually accompanied by other symptoms, such as a headache, muscle aches, and a sore throat. Fever may be caused by a variety of infections, such as the flu, a cold, or a sinus infection. Fever may also be caused by other conditions, such as autoimmune disorders, cancer, or extreme heat exposure.
Typhoid Fever
Typhoid fever is a serious bacterial infection. It is caused by a type of bacteria called Salmonella typhi. Typhoid fever is most commonly spread through contaminated food or water. It can also be spread through contact with infected people or animals. Symptoms of typhoid fever include fever, headache, diarrhea, and vomiting. In some cases, the infection can spread to the brain, causing serious health problems. Typhoid fever can be treated with antibiotics.
Rheumatic Fever
Rheumatic fever is a complication of strep throat, a throat infection caused by the Streptococcus bacteria. It most often affects children and young adults. Rheumatic fever can cause inflammation and damage to the heart, joints, and other organs.
Symptoms of rheumatic fever include fever, joint pain, chest pain, and a rapid heart rate. The heart may become inflamed, which can lead to heart failure. Rheumatic fever can also cause inflammation and damage to the joints, skin, kidneys, and brain.
Rheumatic fever is treated with antibiotics to kill the Streptococcus bacteria, and with medications to reduce inflammation and pain. Prevention of rheumatic fever includes prompt treatment of strep throat with antibiotics.
Viral Fever
A viral fever is a fever caused by a virus. Many different viruses can cause a fever, including the common cold virus, the flu virus, and the Epstein-Barr virus.
Most viral fevers are not serious and will go away without treatment. However, some viral infections can cause more serious problems, such as meningitis or encephalitis.
If you think you have a viral fever, see your doctor. He or she can determine the cause of your fever and recommend the best treatment.
Dengue Fever
Dengue fever is a viral infection transmitted by mosquitoes. It is a leading cause of illness and death in the tropics and subtropics.
Symptoms of dengue fever include fever, headache, muscle pain, joint pain, and rash.
There is no specific treatment for dengue fever. Treatment focuses on relieving symptoms.
Prevention of dengue fever includes avoiding mosquito bites.
Dengue Fever Symptoms
The most common symptoms of dengue fever are:
Fever
Headache
Muscle and joint pain
Nausea
Vomiting
Rash
Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a more serious form of dengue fever. It is a life-threatening condition that can cause:
Severe bleeding
Low blood pressure
Damage to the liver, kidneys, or lungs
Death
