1. Eggs and sperm are released into the water by the adult jellyfish.
2. The eggs and sperm mix together and a new organism called a planula larva begins to form.
3. The planula larva swims around looking for a place to attach itself.
4. Once it finds a good spot, the planula larva attaches itself to the bottom and starts to grow.
5. The planula larva changes into a small jellyfish called a buddying polyp.
6. The buddying polyp starts to grow and divide into more and more polyps.
7. The polyps change into adult jellyfish.
