Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi or Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869 in Porbandar, Gujarat. He was a great freedom fighter and a great supporter of non-violence. His ideologies were unique and people were very fond of him. His theory of non-violence motivated many people; his struggles were made India free from the British Rule.

He completed his Graduation from Bhavnagar, Gujarat for further studies he went to England on 4th September 1988. He completed his Law Degree from the Inner Temple College, England. He returned back to India on the call of Wales Bar Association but he didn’t succeed in Mumbai Court. He went to South Africa in 1893 on a proposal made by Dada Ablluah.

    Gandhi Ji faced racial discrimination over there, he even thrown out from the train. He fought against discrimination in South Africa. Gopal Krishna Gokhale invited M. K. Gandhi to return back India. Gandhi Ji returned back India 1915. He received the title “Kaiser-E Hind” in a welcome party organized for him.

    Shri Krishna Gokhale asked him to visit India to see the current scenario going on during the British Empire. He sees the miserable and poor people and he decided to raise his voice against Britishers. Champaran Satyagrah, Kheda Satyagrah, Khilafat Movement, Dandi March, Bharat Choro Andolan, Swadesi Movement were many movements that were taken out by him. For his contribution to Indian Independence, he is remembered as “Father of Nation”.
