Perimeter and Area Formulas for All Shapes Notes
Perimeter of a shape is the distance around it. Area of a shape is the amount of space it occupies.
Perimeter of a rectangle is the sum of the length of its four sides. Area of a rectangle is the product of its length and width.
Perimeter of a square is the sum of the length of its four sides. Area of a square is the product of its length and width.
Perimeter of a triangle is the sum of the length of its three sides. Area of a triangle is one-third the product of its length and width.
Perimeter of a circle is the circumference of the circle. Area of a circle is pi times the square of the radius.
1. Rectangle
A rectangle is a shape with four straight sides and four corners. It can be also be described as a parallelogram with equal length sides.
2. Square
A Square-1 is a twisty puzzle in the shape of a square. It is made up of 26 pieces, which can be divided into two types: 12 edge pieces and 14 corner pieces. The edge pieces are all the same shape, and the corner pieces are all the same shape.
The aim of the puzzle is to twist the pieces around so that the square is back to its original shape.

7. Trapezoid
A trapezoid is a four-sided polygon with two parallel sides.
8. Regular N-Gon
A regular N-gon is a polygon with N sides. All regular polygons are congruent.
