    JEE Advanced Overview

    JEE Advanced is the most competitive engineering entrance examination in India. It is the gateway for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The exam is conducted by one of the seven participating IITs i.e. IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Guwahati on a rotational basis for admission to B.E., B. Tech and B. Arch at 23 participating Indian Institutes of Technology.

    The exam consists of two papers, each with a duration of three hours. It is conducted in two stages, the first stage being the JEE Main and the second being the JEE Advanced.

    JEE Advanced Registration Procedure

    The registration process for JEE Advanced 2023 is similar to the previous years. Candidates need to register themselves online and fill up the application form. The details required for registration include personal information, academic details, and contact details. After successful registration, applicants will be able to check their eligibility for the exam. The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2023 is that candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent exam with 75% marks in aggregate in four subjects.

    Steps to register for JEE Advanced 2023 Exam

    Candidates must meet certain eligibility requirements before registering for the test. Furthermore, all Indian citizens (including OCI/PIOs) must meet all JEE Advanced eligibility requirements; if they do not, their registration will be refused or revoked.

    Candidates can register for the test using the online registration site in any situation.

    The registration process is divided into three primary phases, which are as follows:

    • Step 1: Applicants must first go to the JEE Advanced 2023 official website (jeeadv.ac.in) and then to the registration page. Applicants must input their JEE Main 2023 roll number and password after travelling through the website and reaching the registration page. They’ll have to create a new password after that. They will be allowed to log in to the registration page after completing this procedure, where they will be required to fill out all of the essential information such as their personal information, contact information, educational qualification, and so on. They will be required to specify their chosen language for the examination paper, as well as their preferred exam centres.

    Note: All JEE Advanced 2023 notifications and information will be delivered to the registered cellphone number through SMS and/or email.

    • Step 2: Candidates must scan and submit digital copies of all relevant papers, including copies of their most recent passport photos (10 to 100 KB) and signature (5 to 30 KB).
    • Step 3: The final step is to pay the registration cost in order to complete the registration process successfully. Candidates should keep in mind that the registration cost is non-transferable and non-refundable.

    JEE Advanced 2023 Registration Fees

    Once the candidates have successfully registered for JEE Advanced 2023, they will have to fill the application form. The application form will contain various details like educational qualifications, choice of exam centre and payment of the examination fee. The application fee for JEE Advanced 2023 is Rs. 2,800 for General category, Rs. 1,400 for SC/ST/PwD category and Rs. 500 for Female candidates.

    The fees can be paid with a debit card, a credit card, Internet banking, and E-challan, an E-wallet, or a UPI. The registration price does not include any service fees, processing fees, or other fees imposed by the payment gateway/banks. Detailed instructions for paying the registration fee will be provided on the website. Candidates should maintain a copy of their acknowledgment sheet for future reference.

    Foreign Nationals:

    • SAARC Country Candidates: 75 USD
    • Non-SAARC Country Candidates: 150 USD
    Indian Nationals:

    • General Category Candidates: INR 2,800/-
    • Female Candidates: INR 1,400/-
    • Reserved Category Candidates: INR 1,400/-

    Application Fee Payment for JEE Advanced 2023 online

    Candidates must click “Pay Registration Fee” to make a payment through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking, following which the system will instantly send them to the State Bank of India Multi Option Payment System (MOPS) website. Candidates may use any of the various choices, such as Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking/E-challan, according to their convenience.

    Candidates will be able to print the “Registration Details” with a unique JEE Advanced registration number 2023 after making a successful payment.

    Application Fee Payment for JEE Advanced 2023 Offline

    Candidates must click “Pay Registration Fee” to pay the JEE Advanced 2023 application fee in cash via the SBI Branch Option, after which the site will instantly send them to the State Bank of India Multi Option Payment System (MOPS) page.

    If the candidate chooses “SBI Branch” for cash payment, the system will create an e-challan. Candidates must print the e-challan produced by the system and bring it to an SBI bank to make a cash payment. Candidates must return to this webpage after making payment and download the “Registration Details” with a unique registration number.

    After the successful submission of the application form, candidates will be issued the admit card. The admit card is the most important document that needs to be carried to the examination centre on the day of the exam. Admit card will contain details like exam centre, date and time of the exam, candidate’s name, photograph and signature.

    JEE Advanced 2023 will be conducted in a single day in two shifts across India. The exam will consist of two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper will contain multiple-choice questions and numerical type questions. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours for each paper.

    Candidates who have successfully cleared JEE Advanced 2023 will be eligible for admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs and other educational institutes that accept JEE Advanced scores. The selection of candidates is based on their performance in the JEE Advanced exam.

    Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2023

    To appear for JEE Advanced 2023, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

    1. Age: The candidate must have been born on or after October 1, 1998.
    2. Number of Attempts: Candidates are allowed to attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
    3. Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed the 12th standard or equivalent exam in 2021 or 2022 with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks or be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.
    4. Performance in JEE Main: Candidates must have secured a rank within the top 2,50,000 in JEE Main 2023.
    5. Number of Subjects: The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English in their 12th standard or equivalent exam.
    6. Attempts to Qualify JEE Main: Candidates must have attempted JEE Main 2021 and JEE Main 2023 for appearing in JEE Advanced 2023.
    7. Appearing Candidates: Candidates appearing for their 12th standard or equivalent exam in 2022 are also eligible for appearing in JEE Advanced 2023.

    Eligibility for Foreign Candidates in JEE Advanced Application Form 2023

    Candidates who are not citizens of India by birth or naturalization and have studied or are studying abroad in class 12 or equivalent at the time of enrolling for JEE (Advanced) 2023 are considered foreign nationals, according to the JEE Advanced eligibility. Foreign nationals are given supernumerary seats, with a maximum of 10% of the total number of seats in each course. Foreign nationals are not covered by the government of India’s mandatory quota of seats for GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD (Persons with Disabilities).

    Once the JEE Advanced 2023 application form is submitted, it is not possible to rectify any errors. Candidates will not have the opportunity to modify their application details after submission.
