What is Fraction?
A fraction is a number that expresses a part of a whole. The top number in a fraction is the numerator and the bottom number is the denominator. The numerator is the number of parts that are being counted and the denominator is the total number of parts that are being counted.
For example, if there are six students in a classroom and three of them are girls, the fraction would be written as 3/6. This means that there are three parts that are girls and six parts in total.
