    Life-Story

    It was 12 February 1809, when Abraham Lincoln had born in Sinking Spring Farm, Kentucky of the U.S. There’s not abundant information available regarding his family background.  He had lost his mother when he was only 9 years old. He completed most of his basic education through self-study.

    On 4 November 1842, he married Mary Todd Lincoln. Soon, four children were born to them.

    He serves as a captain in the Illinois Militia when the Black Hawk War was going. In the later years, he served as a post-master and a lawyer too.

    He was the Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Illinois’s 7th district from 4 March 1847 to 3 March 1849. Later, he became the 16th President of the U.S. on 4 March 1961. While in service, he was assassinated on 15 April 1865. He was cremated at Lincoln Tomb, Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois.
