JEE Mains Counselling 2024: JEE Mains stands for Joint Entrance Examination. It is conducted for the admission of Btech, BAech, and BPlan courses, which are available at the NITs, IITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIS). JEE Mains is like an eligibility test for JEE Advanced, held for admission to IITs.

The JEE Main 2024 exam consists of three papers. Paper 1 is for the admission of the BE/BTech courses. Paper 2A is for BArch, and 2B is for BPlan admission courses. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the JEE Main exam as a Computer Based Test.

JEE Mains Counselling Date 2024

JEE Mains Counselling Seat Allotment

Candidates will be allocated seats based on their JEE Main 2024/JEE Advanced 2024 ranks. There will be two rounds of mock seat allotment conducted by JoSAA. However, if the candidates are not satisfied with their seats then they can follow the below steps;

• Float: Aspirants who wish to keep the allotted seat can opt for this option.
• Freeze: When the aspirants are satisfied with their seats. They can choose this option if they want to refrain from participating in further rounds.
• Slide: This is for the candidates who accept the allotted seats. They can choose this option if they want to upgrade the programme in the same college.
• Withdraw: This is for the candidates who already accepted the seats. Now, they want to withdraw it. They can report to the allotted institution before the final round of JEE Mains seat allotment.

JEE Mains Counselling Fees

After the seat allotment procedure, candidates must pay the counselling fees and confirm their seats. Candidates have to pay the seat acceptance fee for the allotted seats through Net Banking/e-Challan. All the required documents will be verified at the reporting center. After verification of the documents and payment of the fee, a provisional admission letter will be issued to the candidates.
