10.1 Introduction

10.2 Perimeter

10.2.2 Perimeter of Rectangle
This chapter has extended the topic to the perimeter of the rectangle. Student must be taught that rectangle has a principle called opposite sides are equal, it is easy to find the perimeter of a rectangle by taking the measurements of both the sides in which one is called the length and the other is called the breadth. As it has two sides,
Perimeter = 2(length + breadth).
10.2.3 Perimeter of Regular figures
NCERT Maths book allows the students to learn more about the concept of perimeter. Let’s say if you want to find out the perimeter of a square, it has four equal sides. Then the perimeter of the square will be,
Perimeter = 4 * length of the side.
Similarly, Perimeter of equilateral triangle
Perimeter = 3 * length of the side.
10.3 Area
