Introduction

- The fifth stage of labor is the newborn stage. This stage begins with the birth of the baby and ends with the baby’s first bath.
- The sixth stage of labor is the postnatal stage. This stage begins with the baby’s first bath and ends with the return of the mother to her pre-pregnancy state.
